Vajravai is the name I have created to represent my creative endeavors. When I say creative endeavors I am talking about Music, Visual Art, Mathematics, Software, and any combinations thereof. To me, they are all the same thing: Creating!
So this site contains experiments in programming, web development, as well as Music. The name Vajravai derives from two words mushed together: Vajra and Vai.
Vajra comes from the Sanskrit Language and means: Lightning or diamond.... I wonder if the Aryans thought that lightning was made of diamonds.... Anyway... Vajra also represents Vajrayana Buddhism and instant or rapid enlightenment.
I hope I don't get sued for this... but Vai is taken from Steve Vai one of most favorite guitarists and probably my greatest inspiration. So Vai represents Music to me.
So, taken together... Vajravai means Instant Enlightenment Through Music Pretty cool huh? Oh... and Steve?? Please don't sue me for using your name as part of a new word... please? Thanks. :)
